  10. This is the developer kit for CAMD v37.1, as found on the
  11. Amiga Developer CD v1.1, converted for use with E.
  12.  
  13. The original examples and documentation are NOT included.
  14.  
  15. CAMD is a MIDI driver system, basically each application
  16. has MIDI ports so they can be linked together like studio
  17. boxes, and also hardware (like the serial port) can be
  18. shared.  No more turning off MIDI in one program before
  19. being able to turn it on in another.

  21. Some new (simple) example programs are included:
  22.  
  23. cha_monitor <name>
  24.     Dump MIDI data to the shell window, <name> is a MIDI
  25.     node (for example, in.0 or out.0 to monitor either
  26.     main input or output).  SysEx data up to 16 kB is
  27.     recognised, the data itself is not displayed but the
  28.     length of the data is.  All output is hexadecimal.
  29.     Ctrl-C quits.

  31. cha_keyboard <name>
  32.     Send MIDI data to the node <name>, the main part of
  33.     the keyboard plays notes, the function keys change
  34.     octave, and the space bar stops all notes (because
  35.     sometimes Intuition forgets key-up events).
